"O M" - Can represent the body, speech or mind of a Buddhist. But "Om" can also represent the body, speech or mind of a Buddha. Tibetan monks also use the word "Om" to mean the words of the Buddha. The power of this very syllable when resounding also symbolizes awareness of the universe. The echo of reciting "om" echoes through the high mountains of Tibet, covering the whole world.

"M A N I" - Interpreted as “the jewel” or the altruistic will towards enlightenment, compassion, and love. Mani is also the manifestation of Bodhicitta bodhichitta.

"P A D M E" - Understood as being inside the lotus flower, the human mind or a stop for the mind to limit the formation of deluded thoughts, creating an opportunity to develop a pure wisdom and energy.

"H U M" - Understood as the self-fulfilling self. When reciting the entire mantra and ending with the word "hum", it also means that enlightenment has been lit, paving the way for wisdom, compassion and good things to come.
